Here are the standouts from the second day of the 11th annual Pete & Jameer Nelson Classic from the games played at Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday:

Eric Dixon (F/Abington)
Okay, so the freshman forward was part of our Day 1 standouts, but Dixon earned more recognition on Wednesday against Friends’ Central. The forward scored a team-best 21 points in the loss, and notched nine of them in the fourth quarter. Dixon is certainly coming into his own as his high school career turns one month old, and he is not shy of the spotlight. With the Ghosts trailing by four with under a minute left, it was Dixon who confidently knocked down a 3-pointer to pull his team to within one point. Though Abington’s comeback fell short, the team has a special freshman in Dixon.

Jeremy Horn (F/Lower Merion)
Horn was a dominant force in the paint for Lower Merion as they muscled their way to a win over a much smaller Samuel Fels team. At 6-foot-8, the Lower Merion senior was at least three inches taller than the entirety of the Fels lineup. He finished with a game-high 16 points and secured eight rebounds in the 67-45 win. Horn has a fairly tall frame and a great ability to crash the boards.

LaPri McCray-Pace (F/Conwell-Egan)
The 6-foot-4 senior looked unguardable at times against Constitution. McCray-Pace ended with 22 points, a game high, and often successfully forced his way to the hoop. McCray-Pace had a pair of 3-pointers and also had seven rebounds for the Eagles -- five of which came in an ugly first quarter when the teams combined for 13 points. Though the Eagles came up short against the Generals, McCray-Pace was the main reason they were able to take an eight-point lead late in the third quarter.

Anthony Satchell (G/Constitution)
The senior guard scored nine of his team-best 21 points in the fourth quarter and that was after Satchell hit a clutch 3-pointer at the end of the third period. The 6-footer also had four rebounds and two assists as he and backcourt mate Tamir Green led a late 24-8 run in the win over Conwell-Egan. Satchell had three 3-pointers in the victory and also got four points at the foul line -- all coming in the fourth quarter.

Markus Stevenson (F/Academy of New Church)
The 6-foot-6 junior forward recorded 14 points in ACN’s victory over life Center. His scoring came from a strong 4-5 from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line. He was a calming influence all afternoon for the Lions, a team that raced out to a 25-7 first quarter lead, but would struggle to control the ball the rest of the way through. Stevenson was forced to play inside a little bit more than usual with 6-foot-9 Marcus Littles suffering from foul trouble most of the way through.

Moe Williams (F/Life Center)
Williams scored a game-high 20 points, albeit on 6-17 shooting from the field. It was clear all game long that the Life Center attack revolves around the 6-foot-6 senior. He possesses an innate ability to drive to the hoop, and has the strength to force a shot up while being fouled. He accounted for nearly 45 percent of Life Center’s points.

Friends’ Central’s 3-point shooting
The Phoenix turned a one-point halftime deficit into a 15-point lead heading into the fourth quarter thanks to six made 3-pointers in the third quarter. Friends’ Central hit a total of 10 triples against Abington. Senior Chuck Champion and junior Antone Walker both hit a pair of treys in the quarter, and the duo ended with 17 points apiece. Virginia commit DeAndre Hunter hit three 3-pointers in the game, and he also capped the momentous third quarter much closer to the basket, slamming home a thunderous dunk.

Others of note…

--Academy of New Church sophomore Justin Anderson put on a show in the first quarter of the win over Life Center. Anderson recorded 10 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting from the field including three steals. He finished with 14 points on the day.

--Academy of New Church junior Tim Spencer recorded 14 points in the ANC victory. The 5-foot-11 junior did this while only connecting on one of his two shots from the field. He shot a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line.

--Fels senior Ahmir Boyd chimed in 14 points in the losing effort to Lower Merion. He was one of two Panthers players to finish in double digits.

-- Friends’ Central junior Antone Walker had 17 points, providing a much-needed third scoring option for the Phoenix. The guard didn’t have a field goal in the fourth quarter, but knocked in four crucial free throws.

-- Constitution junior Tamir Green had 20 points -- six of which he earned at the foul line -- in the team’s win over Conwell-Egan. He also had two rebounds and a team-best four assists.
