Strengths: The quick-leaping guard has a chance to be special out of the 2017 class. The left-hander jumps high and fast, and likes to play clean up around the basket. Williams has a good handle, preferring to go left and use his freakish athleticism to finish at the basket. Very good when he jumps off two feet in the lane. Also has very good court vision, and will make some impressive passes on the break.
Weaknesses: Plays out of control at times, which is a common problem for athletic young guards early in their years. Needs to developing his understanding of when to attack and when to back it out, as well as when to make the flashy pass and when to make the smart one. Needs to work on going right.
Overall: Blessed with easy athleticism, Williams has a chance at becoming a mid-major Division I prospect. But he has a lot of work to do to get there, with a key year of development ahead of him.
