Temple’s road to a repeat appearance in the NCAA Tournament will start with conquering their regular season schedule, which was released today.

The Owls will look for their 9th 20-win season under current head coach, Fran Dunphy, in what will be his 11th year at the helm. The Cherry and White will also look to repeat last year’s regular season American Athletic Conference Championship.

The Owls will kick off their season going against fellow Big 5 foe, La Salle, at the Liacouras Center on Nov. 11th at 7:00 PM.

Temple will then head off to the Preseason NIT at the Barclays Center to take on Florida State on Thanksgiving, Nov. 24th and will then play either West Virginia or Illinois in the championship or consolation, depending on outcomes.

Following the Preseason NIT, the Owls will return home to take on two Big 5 opponents,  St. Joseph’s on the road on Nov. 30th and will then they will play host to Penn on Dec. 3rd.

Another highlight of the Owls’ schedule is when they head down to the American Airlines Center in Miami to take on DePaul at the Miami Hoophall Invitational on Dec. 10th and they are immediately greeted by the reigning National Champions, Villanova, upon their homecoming on Dec. 13th at Villanova.

Temple’s regular season slate is highlighted when they visit SMU, whose undefeated regular season was ended by the Owls at the Liacouras Center last Jan., on Jan. 4th. A three-game conference play homestand against UConn, UCF and Tulane on Feb. 19th, Feb. 22nd, and Feb. 25th, respectively, should be a huge booster for the Owls in they are in the hunt for another AAC title come tournament time.
