Villanova remained in the top spot of this week’s AP poll, the team’s third consecutive week at No. 1.

The Wildcats, who beat Temple and Butler last week, have won seven games in a row and will face their toughest remaining regular season challenge this Wednesday when they travel to No. 5 Xavier. Villanova received 45 first-place votes, with the remaining 20 going to No. 2 Kansas.

The full AP poll can be found here, and the full coaches poll – which also has Villanova at No. 1 – can be found here.

St. Joe’s, which beat then-No. 15 Dayton on Wednesday before losing to Davidson on Saturday, received 20 points in this week’s poll. The Hawks had 57 last week, good for 28th-most in the country last week, but fell to 32nd this week.

The Hawks, who are still safely in the field of 68 in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology, have not been in the top 25 since having a perfect regular season in the 2003-04 campaign. Dayton, meanwhile, fell out of the top 25 and the Atlantic 10 currently has no teams in the top 25.
