Three weeks after a video surfaced of Neshaminy basketball coach Jerry Devine making contact with an official during an argument, he has been relieved from his coaching duties.

That decision came at a school board meeting on Tuesday night, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

In a video obtained by CoBL – which can be found below -- Devine appeared to head butt a referee during an altercation in a game on Jan. 5. He was placed on indefinite administrative leave the following day, and returned to his position as a teacher at the school a week later.

Devine had coached Neshaminy for 10 years before the incident, and assistant coach John Mason took over as interim coach when Devine was suspended. Neshaminy is 3-13 overall this season and 2-9 in the Suburban One League.
