Villanova is back in the top 10 of this week’s AP poll, again being the top-ranked team in the Big East.

The Wildcats, who won twice last week including a Sunday night road win at then-No. 18 Butler, moved up five spots to No. 6 in this week’s AP poll – their highest ranking in the poll all season. Villanova has won six straight games and is the only undefeated team in Big East play at 4-0.

Xavier is close behind Villanova at No. 7, and the Musketeers’ sole loss of the season came to the Wildcats by 31 points. Two other Big East teams are in the top 25 with Providence at No. 12 and Butler dropping five spots to No. 23. The full AP poll can be found here.

Villanova also moved up to No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches poll, which can be found here.

St. Joseph’s, which had three votes in last week’s poll, did not receive any after a 1-1 week. The Hawks dropped a home tilt to VCU on Tuesday and came back with a win against Rhode Island on Sunday.

Temple is still a far way from the top 25, but the Owls’ win over Connecticut last week dropped the Huskies from their No. 23 ranking. La Salle also made an impact on this week's poll, as the Explorers upset of Dayton on Saturday knocked the Flyers out of the top 25.
