Villanova is no longer a top-10 team after falling to Oklahoma last week.

The Wildcats checked in at No. 12 in the latest AP Poll, released Monday afternoon. Villanova is down three spots after losing to the Sooners, 78-55, last Monday. Oklahoma is ranked third in the new poll, which can be found in its entirety here. Villanova also fell in the coaches poll from No. 6 to No. 13.

Jay Wright’s team bounced back with a home win over La Salle on Sunday, but Villanova will have another top 10 test before conference play starts. The Wildcats travel to Charlottesville, Va. to face No. 8 Virginia this Saturday.

Villanova also has some Big East company in the top 25. Xavier (10-0), who the Wildcats will face at home on New Year’s Eve, is the highest-ranked team in the conference, checking in at No. 10.

Meanwhile, the Kris Dunn-led Providence Friars are No. 14 at 10-1, with that lone defeat coming to No. 1 Michigan State. And Butler isn’t far behind at 17th and an 8-1 record.
