EASTON, Pa.--After a tightly-fought first half, the Lafayette Leopards (2-5) let another one slip away, suffering a tough loss to St. Francis Brooklyn (3-4) by a final score of 69-62.

At First…
Lafayette and St. Francis hung tough with one another from the beginning, going punch for punch throughout the majority of the first half. The Terriers opened up a seven-point lead with 7:50 to play, but the Leopards answered, pulling ahead late to enter the half up 30-29.

Turning Point…
When Lafayette built up its biggest lead, 49-42, in the beginning of the second half, it looked as though the Leopards might be able to notch a win, but St. Francis decided to flip the switch and tie it up just three minutes later.

It wasn’t until the final minute, however, that the final result was sealed. With a minute to play, it was still a one-possession game, but clutch free throws down the stretch allowed the Terriers to keep their lead and walk out with the win.

Shining Stars…
Nick Lindner had another solid night for Lafayette, dropping eighteen points while dishing six assists. Lindner led all scorers for the game.

As for St. Francis, guard Tyreek Jewell tallied seventeen points, pacing the Terriers. Freshman guard Dagur Jonsson had his first double-digit game off the bench, scoring fifteen while nabbing five boards.

Noteworthy Numbers…
While their free throw shooting down the stretch was enough to hold on to the win, the Terriers struggled from the free-throw line, making eleven of their twenty attempts. Lafayette didn’t shoot so hot from the stripe either, going 12-of-18.

St. Francis made up for it from beyond the arc, shooting 42-percent on threes as opposed to a 15-percent long-range mark for the Leopards.

Up Next…
Lafayette (2-5) @ Cornell (12/5, 2:00 p.m.)
St. Francis Brooklyn (3-4) @ St. John’s (12/6, 11:00 a.m.)
