Every day during the season on which there are games featuring the 10 Division I teams that CoBL features, we’ll have a Tipping Off running bright and early, letting you know everything you need to know about the matchups.

As always, we’ll start with a wrap of the previous day’s action, followed by a look at the complete slate; as always, thanks to KenPom’s awesome site for his predictions--though keep in mind this early in the season, his predictions aren’t quite as reliable:

Last night’s results

Today’s games

Temple Owls (0-1) vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-0)
When: 11:30 a.m.
Where: Coliseo Roberto Clemente, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Watch: ESPNU
KenPom Prediction: Minnesota, 73-71 (58%)

The Skinny: It’s the first game for Temple in the three-game tournament, which features a strong field. Our breakdown of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off can be found here.

Lehigh Mountain Hawks (0-2) vs. Yale Bulldogs (2-0)
When: 7 p.m.
Where: Stabler Arena, Bethlehem, Pa.
Watch: Patriot League Network
KenPom Prediction: Lehigh, 71-69 (58%)

The Skinny: It's the Patriot League preseason favorites against the Ivy League favorites as the two high-academic conferences pit their best head-to-head on the court. It's also a matchup of elite mid-major big men in Lehigh center Tim Kempton (16.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg) and Yale power forward Justin Sears (16.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg), both of whom are the defending league MVPs in their respective conferences. But the Bulldogs' breakout star thus far has been sophomore guard Makai Mason, who put up 23 points, four assists and five rebounds against Fairfield before following that up with a 21-point, five-assist outing against Sacred Heart.
