Three-time defending Inter-Ac champion Germantown Academy headlines a field of two dozen area programs participating in this weekend’s Saint Joseph’s Commuter Team Camp, held Friday through Sunday.

Action gets underway at 5 PM on Friday, with games running on two courts inside Hagan Arena plus four others in the practice facility connected to the gym. The teams involved will play between 6-8 games on the weekend, which will have four sets on Friday night and five each on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Here are a few programs to watch:

--Germantown Academy loses seniors Sam Lindgren (Colgate) and Tim Guers (St. Anselm’s) from its third-straight Inter-Ac championship, but the cupboard is far from bare for head coach Jim Fenerty. Rising senior point guard Devon Goodman is one of a few Division I prospects on the team, but it’s rising junior wings Kyle McClosky and Evan-Eric Longino (pictured) that are going to see a large rise in production as they move into their upperclassmen years.

--Thanks to two straight trips to the PIAA Class AAAA quarterfinals (and a finals run in 2014), La Salle College HS graduating seniors Shawn Witherspoon (Nyack), Kitt Najee Walls (East Stroudsburg) and David Krmpotich (Colgate) set the bar pretty high for the Explorers. Rising seniors Shane Stark and Ryan McTamney give head coach Joe Dempsey some good length and athleticism; the development of rising junior guards Jarrod Stukes and Matt Paulus will go a long way into determining how good this team is.

--Conestoga has earned the top seed in District 1’s AAAA bracket each of the last two years, and this year’s group looks like it could be just as strong despite the loss of some very talented seniors. Rising senior guards M.J. Lezanic and Darryl Caldwell have looked very strong this spring, as have a pair of sharp-shooting wings in rising senior Charlie Martin and rising junior Andrew Larkin.

--Cherry Hill East is the two-time defending South Jersey Group 4 champions, but they have a big piece to replace in Penn-bound guard Jake Silpe. This year’s Cougars are sure to be a more interior-focused group, with the centerpiece 6-foot-8 rising senior forward Timmy Perry. His classmate, guard Olin McClendon, is a good small-college prospect with a solid outside shot and a strong frame.
