Though the 2014-15 high school season ended less than two months ago, coaches and players around the region are already thinking ahead to next year.

One of the top spring/summer high school leagues each year takes place at the Mayfair Rec Center (2990 Saint Vincent Street) in Northeast Philadelphia, when the Northeast Basketball League (NEBL) holds play three nights per week.

This year, 20 different high school programs will participate, with teams coming from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Defending PIAA Class AAA state champions Neumann-Goretti and AA title winners Conwell-Egan will be participating yet again, as is defending Public League champion Imhotep Charter; South Jersey Group 4 champions Cherry Hill East will make the trip over the bridge.

Each team plays one game each week (eight games total), and the top eight qualify for the league's playoffs at the culmination of the regular season.
