After dominating the state playoffs, Philadelphia's top high school prospects have cleaned up in the Pennsylvania Sportswriters All-State Boys Basketball Teams.

Roman Catholic junior Tony Carr (AAAA), Archbishop Carroll senior Derrick Jones (AAA), Conwell-Egan junior Stevie Jordan (AA) and Constitution senior Ahmad Gilbert (A) were honored as the state's four Players of the Year on Thursday in voting conducted by various media members who cover high school basketball in the Keystone State. All four led their teams to state titles, the first time that Philly's District 12--also known as the Public and Catholic Leagues--swept the PIAA playoffs since first participating in them in 2009.

If it wasn't for Indiana HS's Greg Lezanic earning AAA Coach of the Year honors, it would have been a clean sweep for D-12. Roman's Chris McNesby, Conwell-Egan's Frank Sciolla and Constitution's Rob Moore were also honored; it was the first state title for both McNesby and Sciolla, while Moore led the Generals to their third in the last four years.
