The spring edition of the Delco Shootout will take place this Saturday, June 7 at Penncrest High School, with 30 different teams from around District 1 (and beyond) coming to Media for a day of competition. Every team will play two or three games in the event, with games taking place on three courts from 8 AM until the last set begins around 5 PM.  

The host team, Penncrest, is one of the premier teams in the event, as the Lions will be one of the District 1 5A favorites this upcoming season with four starters back from a state quarterfinal run in 2024-25. Two-time defending state champs Devon Prep are also in the mix, as are Central League powerhouses Lower Merion and Garnet Valley and defending District 1 2A champs Delco Christian. That’s along with perennially strong programs in Abington, Dock Mennonite, Episcopal Academy, Garnet Valley, Pope John Paul II and more all in the field.
