The Abington High School boys’ spring/summer league gets underway on Wednesday night, with nine area teams taking part in the four-week affair. Each squad gets seven games over the course of seven nights of competition, which begins with one court of action in the first week and then expands to two courts for the following three.

The list of participating teams: Abington, Academy New Church, Cheltenham, Germantown Friends, Hatboro-Horsham, Lansdale Catholic, Sankofa Freedom, Upper Darby, Wissahickon

It’s a small league but a strong one, including the 2025 PIAA 1A runner-ups in Sankofa Freedom, one of the top PAISAA teams annually in Academy New Church, and perennial quality District 1 programs in Abington, Cheltenham, Upper Darby and Wissahickon, along with a young LC squad expected to be on the rise in 2025-26.
