City of Basketball Love

It’s time for some offseason high school hoops. 

The first spring league to get underway this year is the Plymouth Whitemarsh boys’ league, which features 14 teams from inside and out of the city, including quite a few of the region’s big-name programs. The PW league meets twice a week for the next five weeks, with the schedule set for the first four; all teams play at least eight times over the course of the spring with two teams off each day. 

The participating teams are: Archbishop Ryan, Central Bucks West, Chester Charter, Conestoga, Devon Prep, Eng. & Sciences, Executive Education, Haverford School, Imhotep Charter, La Salle, Lower Merion, Methacton, Penn Wood, Plymouth Whitemarsh

Overall, it’s a strong group that features the defending PIAA 4A champs (Devon Prep), the Public League champs (Imhotep), the defending District 1 6A champs (Conestoga), the defending Central League champs (Lower Merion), one of the Inter-Ac favorites in Haverford School, and a host PW squad which should once again be one of the best in District 1 6A.
