Time is running out until CoBL’s first-ever middle school girls’ camp — and space is running out, too!

(Ed. Note: As of Mon, March 17 at 1 PM, we are SOLD OUT. If you'd like to join the waiting list, send our camp director Steph Garafolo an email: stephg523@gmail.com. Make the subject "MS Camp Wait List" and be sure to include your child's name, school, and year of HS graduation. We will respond ASAP.)

Our inaugural middle school camp, which is open for girls in 6th through 8th grades (Classes of 2029, 2030 and 2031), is a great way for aspiring high school varsity basketball players to get in some high-level coaching and competition as they prepare themselves for playing at the next level. We only have room for 80 campers -- only a few spots remain, and they're going fast!

The camp will take place Saturday, March 22 at Cardinal O’Hara High School from 1-5 PM. The camp will include on-court instruction from CoBL staff and our volunteer coaches, who come from many of the top high school programs in the area.

We’ll start off with a quick introduction and get into stations and drills, working on footwork, ball-handling, shooting, finishing around the rim, ball-screen decision making and more. The campers will get a chance to have a Q+A with a panel of our high school players to hear their stories and get tips on playing high school basketball; we’ll also have a Q+A with the parents for questions about how they can best support their children. Campers will finish off with a variety of games including 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and full-court 5-on-5 competition.

The cost for the camp is $70, plus a small online registration fee. All campers will receive a CoBL camp t-shirt. Click the button below to register:

Events Director
An assistant women's basketball coach at Haverford College, Steph Garafolo has been CoBL's Camps and Events Director since June 2023. Born in South Philadelphia, Steph moved out to Havertown as a child and spent her formative years in Delaware County, where she was immersed in hoops from a young age. She went to Cardinal O'Hara, helping the Lions to a Catholic League championship in 2013 as a junior before going to Penn State, where she played club basketball and helped fundraise for THON, the school's annual 46-hour dance marathon which raises money for childhood cancer patients at the local children's hospital.

Upon graduating from Penn State in 2018, Steph spent the next five years working in sales and marketing for various organizations, including Hershey, the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the New York Jets, before returning home during the COVID pandemic, leaving the corporate world in 2023 and joining CoBL as its Events Director. Before coaching at Haverford College, she spent four years (2020-24) as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Cardinal O'Hara, helping the Lions to the PCL and PIAA 5A championships in 2022 and the PIAA 6A championship in 2024.
