With the 2024-25 high school basketball season rapidly approaching, the fall showcase slate is winding down for the season — but not without one final weekend of action in Delaware County.

The annual Delco Fall Shootout returns to Penncrest High on Saturday and Sunday, with several dozen programs — mostly from District 1, with a few others joining in the fray — playing two or three games over the course of the weekend. It’s a strong field that includes last year’s District 1 5A champs (Unionville) and this year’s District 1 5A favorites (Upper Dublin), the defending PAC champs (Phoenixville) and the likes of Garnet Valley, Episcopal Academy, Spring-Ford Devon Prep, Conestoga and more. 

Games will run from 8 AM through 6 PM on Saturday and 8 AM through 1:30 PM on Sunday.

The event starts off with a bang, as Upper Dublin and Garnet Valley in what should be a great District 1 contest, with Spring-Ford and Devon Prep meeting in the auxiliary gym. In the afternoon set on Saturday, both of Constitution’s games — against Central Bucks West and host Penncrest — are ones to watch, and keep an eye on Delco Christian vs. Lower Merion in the final set. 

Highlight games on Sunday include Phoenixville vs. Central Bucks East (12:35 PM), Conestoga vs. Methacton (9:50 AM), and Marple Newtown vs. Dock Mennonite (8:00 AM). 

Admission will be $5 per day for all spectators.
