What a year it was in Southeastern Pennsylvania. 

Led by some dominant teams from the Pioneer Athletic Conference and one of the best players in Public League history, the Pub and District 1 put up a good fight against the Catholic League powerhouses this season, with multiple area programs making deep runs in the PIAA state playoffs capped by Archbishop Wood and Cardinal O’Hara state titles.

Player of the Year
Shayla Smith, Jr., Audenried Charter
Smith averaged 25.3 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 2.1 apg and 3.4 spg for Audenried, which won its second straight Philadelphia Public League championship and won the District 12 title and reached the PIAA semifinals for the first time in program history. She was the Philadelphia Public League Player of the Year for the second straight season, and recently committed to Penn State.

First Team
Anna Azzara, Sr., Spring-Ford
Azzara, a four-year varsity starter, was the floor general for the Rams as they finished as the Pioneer Athletic Conference, District 1 and PIAA Class 6A runner-ups. The Wright State commit averaged 15.6 ppg, 3.3 apg, 3.7 rpg and 3.0 spg, earning her third straight first team all-league honors.

Grace Galbavy, Jr., Perkiomen Valley
The 6-foot wing continued to improve and stuff the statsheet in her second year at PV, averaging 15.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.3 spg and 2.3 bpg for the PAC and District 1-6A champions, who went 29-2.

Emily Knouse, Jr., Archbishop Wood
Knouse earned first team All-Catholic League honors for Wood, which won the PCL title after an undefeated run before grabbing its third straight PIAA title. The 6-foot St. Joe’s verbal commit averaged 13.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and 3.3 apg. 

Ava Renninger, Sr., Archbishop Wood
Renninger, a Fairleigh Dickinson commit in her second season with the Vikings, averaged 13.1 ppg, 3.2 apg, 4.8 rpg and 1.4 spg for the PCL and PIAA champions. The 5-6 point guard was a first team All-PCL selection and runner-up for the league MVP.

Molly Rullo, Jr., Cardinal O’Hara
The 5-foot-11 wing/forward earned first team All-PCL honors for the second year in a row. Rullo, a Drexel commit, averaged 17.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg to help the Lions to the PIAA Class 6A title after a semifinal finish in the PCL playoffs.

Brooke Wilson, Sr., Archbishop Carroll
A 5-foot-9 guard committed to Army, WIllson earned her second straight first team All-PCL honors and was named the league’s MVP. She averaged 14 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and 3.5 apg for the PCL runner-up and PIAA quarterfinalist.

Second Team
Quinn Boettinger, Jr., Perkiomen Valley
The linchpin of Perk Valley’s success the last few years, Boettinger is a talented 6-3 center and Navy commit who’s their most valuable player offensively and defensively. She averaged 14.1 ppg and 7.3 rpg as a junior plus right around two assists and blocks per game as Perk Valley defended its PAC and District 1 titles while advancing to the PIAA state quarterfinals.

Ryann Jennings, Soph., Conestoga
Jennings averaged 17 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.0 rpg and shot 41 percent from 3-point range. She was a first team All-Central League selection and the league Player of the Year for Conestoga, which finished as the Central League runner-up and reached the District 1 semifinals.

Caleigh Sperling, Sr., North Penn
The 5-10 guard/forward and Jefferson commit earned first team All-SOL Patriot Division honors for the second year in a row as she averaged 17.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.0 spg. She helped the Knights to a division title, the District 1-6A semifinals and the PIAA quarterfinals, finishing her career with 1,324 points.

Haylie Adamski, Jr., Garnet Valley
Adamski, a 6-foot guard/wing, averaged 14.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.3 apg and 1.7 spg. She was a first team All-Central League selection for Garnet Valley, which reached the District 1 quarterfinals and PIAA semifinals. 

Sofia Vitucci, Sr., Pennsbury
Vitucci averaged 18.4 ppg, 2.1 apg and 3.0 rpg, despite facing constant double and triple teams. She was a first team All-SOL selection for the last two seasons and finished her career with 1,434 points.

Reeze Zemitis, Sr., Neshaminy
Zemitis is a versatile wing who averaged 17.6 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 1.2 spg, finishing her career with 1,428 points. The Bucknell recruit was a three-time first team All-SOL selection and led her team to its second straight Patriot Division title and the school’s first SOL Tournament title.

Third Team
Carly Catania, Sr., Villa Maria
The Hurricanes’ forward averaged 16.8 ppg and 7.4 rpg and was a first team All-Catholic Academies selection. Villa Maria finished as the Catholic Academies and District 1 runner-up. She’s a preferred walk-on at Division I New Hampshire.

Emilia Coleman, Soph., Gwynedd Mercy
The 5-10 sharpshooting guard/wing averaged 13.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 2.5 rpg, knocking down 72 threes for the Monarchs. She earned the Catholic Academies MVP award for the league champions, who also reached the PIAA Class 5A tournament.

Whitney Evans, Sr., West Chester Henderson
Evans averaged 18.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg for Henderson, which won the Ches-Mont League championship and advanced to the state tournament. She finished her career with 1,318 points. She was a first team All-Ches Mont selection.

Amber Howard, Sr., Bensalem
Howard averaged 18.2 ppg and 7.8 rpg, helping the Owls to the playoffs for the first time in her career. The 6-foot-1 wing/forward was a first team All-SOL selection and will continue her career at North Carolina A&T.

Megan Ngo, Soph., Upper Dublin
The Cardinals went 22-1 in 23 games with Ngo, a 5-foot-3 point guard, before she went down with an ACL injury in the team’s first postseason game. Ngo averaged 9.7 ppg, 7.4 apg, 4.1 rpg and 3.6 spg, earning first team All-SOL Liberty Division honors for the division champs andsetting the school record for assists (171).

Fourth Team
Carryn Easley, Jr., Neumann Goretti
Easley averaged 15.0 ppg, 5.9 apg and 3.2 spg for the Saints to earn first team All-PCL for the second straight year. The 5-foot-4 guard helped Neumann-Goretti to the PIAA second round after a fourth place regular season finish in the PCL.

Aniya Eberhart, Sr., Haverford
Eberhart averaged 11.5 ppg, 3.2 apg, 4.5 rpg and 2.1 spg for the Fords, who finished as the Central League champions, reached the District 1 quarters and the second round of states. She was a first team All-Central League selection, finishing second in voting. She is a Millersville commit.

Alexis Eberz, Soph., Archbishop Carroll
The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 15 ppg and 3.5 rpg for the Patriots, garnering first team All-PCL honors. Eberz was the leading scorer for a Carroll squad that went to the PCL title game and the PIAA Class 6A quarters.

Rian Dotsey, Jr., Haverford
Dotsey, 6-1 wing/forward, averaged 15.5 ppg, 8.7 rpg and 1.2 bpg for the Fords, who finished as the Central League champions, reached the District 1 quarters and the second round of states despite graduating three starters. Dotsey was a first team All-Central League selection. 

Grace McDonough, Jr., Lansdale Catholic
After transferring from Souderton, the 6-foot-2 forward had a breakout junior campaign, averaging 13.5 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 2.2 bpg, 1.5 apg and 1.2 spg for the Crusaders, who finished the season 16-6 (7-4 PCL).

Reese Power, Jr., Nazareth Academy
The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 16.4 ppg, 2.2 apg, 4.9 rpg and 1.4 spg for Nazareth. Power helped Nazareth to fifth place PCL finish and PCL semifinal appearance in the program’s first season in the league, earning first team All-PCL honors.

Fifth Team
Reginna Baker, Fr., Neumann-Goretti
Baker made a splash in her debut campaign, averaging 16.7 ppg and 5.3 ppg to earn first team All-PCL honors — the first freshman on the list in three years. The 5-foot-8 guard and the Saints finished fourth in the PCL and reached the second round of the PIAA Class 4A tournament.

Sam Blumenthal, Sr., Bishop Shanahan
A 5-foot-10 forward committed to Catholic, Blumenthal was the linchpin of an extremely balanced Shanahan squad. The first team All-Ches-Mont National forward averaged 8 ppg and 12 rpg for the District 1-5A champions, who reached the second round of states.

Amy Ngo, Sr., Upper Dublin
The older Ngo returned from a torn ACL that cost her the entire 2022-23 campaign by averaging 14.7 ppg, 3.3 apg and 3.4 rpg and knocking down 80 threes to earn her second first team All-SOL Liberty Division. The 5-foot-6 guard and Holy Family commit helped the Cardinals to a SOL Liberty title, SOL Tournament runner-up finish and District 1 quarterfinal run. She finished her career with 1,220 points despite missing her entire junior campaign.

Joanie Quinn, Sr., Cardinal O’Hara
Quinn missed a decent chunk of time during the season with a broken hand, but the 5-foot-6 guard returned to help the Lions to a PIAA Class 6A championship. Quinn, who is committed to La Salle, averaged 12.0 ppg, 5.0 apg and 4.0 spg to earn first team All-PCL honors.

Jocelyn Goldstein, Jr., Masterman
A 6-foot-tall forward, Goldstein put together a monster season for Masterman, averaging 26.7 ppg, 9.7 rpg and 3.5 bpg as the Blue Dragons made it to the Public League quarterfinals and qualified for the state playoffs. She also helped her team push for equal playing and practice time under Title IX regulations.

Mackenzie Pettinelli, Sr., Spring-Ford
The 5-foot-10 guard/wing was a versatile piece for the Rams during her four years, helping them back to the state title game this season, along with PAC and District 1-6A runner-up finishes. A St. Bonaventure commit, Pettinelli averaged 6.7 ppg, 5.2 apg and 5.5 rpg.
