The Central League announced its all-league boys and girls basketball teams earlier this week. Here are the two lists:

Matt Gardler, Marple Newtown

Most Valuable Player
Matt Gardler, Jr., Marple Newtown

Gardler was the league's leading scorer (20.1 ppg) during the conference slate, putting together a number of big outings for Marple, which finished its season at 13-12, including 10-6 in the Central League. Gardler hit several clutch shots during the season, including a game-winner against Garnet Valley in the Central League playoffs.

Most Valuable Player
Ryann Jennings, Soph., Conestoga

The Pioneers' 5-11 guard/wing is averaging 16.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg and 2.0 spg steals per game for a team that went 20-2, during the regular season and tied for the best record in the league at 14-2. The big games continued to pile up for Jennings in the postseason as Conestoga advanced to the Central League title game for the second year in a row as well as the district semifinals.
