WEST CHESTER — The Westtown School hosted U.S. Juniors Nationals Spring East Coast Showcase this weekend. CoBL had staff during a good chunk of Saturday’s pre-live period action, which featured multiple teams from local programs like the Comets, Running Rebels and Belles as well as a few others from Mid-Atlantic Region. Here are some of those who stood out in front of the CoBL staff:
Charlotte Aldridge (2026 | Chester County Storm 17U)
The Downingtown East freshman is playing a couple age groups up this summer. Her versatility stood out during Saturday’s action. The 6-foot wing/guard probably played all five positions on Saturday, running some point at times while also being used as a ‘5’ on both ends of the floor. She showed good court vision and anticipation with the ball in her hands and looked comfortable as a playmaker, particularly in transition or from the high post. On defense she is athletic enough to guard out on the wing and has length to deter shots inside and rebound.
Ellie Cerf, Philly Belles 17U
Quinn Boettinger (2025 | Comets 16U)
The Perk Valley post was at the center of everything when she was on the floor Saturday. Offensively, she continually established good position for herself then either took a pass for a finish or kept it moving if help came. She hit the glass hard and disrupted quite a few shots on the defensive end too.
Kasey Bretones (2024 | NJ Rise 17U)
The 5-10 guard from Mainland Regional (N.J.) showed off some really nice handles against the Rebels, the highlight a behind the back move to get herself a layup. She converted multiple times through contact and from tough angles. She’s a calming presence with the ball in her hands, making decisive decisions. Though she can really handle the rock, she’s not a ball stopper and keeps the ball and the offense moving when she’s out on the floor.
Ellie Cerf (2024 | Philly Belles 17U)
The 5-6 lefty from Bethlehem Central (N.Y.) is a lot of fun to watch on the court as she plays with quite a bit of swag. She dazzled with a plethora of no-look and wraparound passes while getting herself to the hoop with crossover and spin moves — finishing with both hands once she got to the cup. She moves her feet to stay in front on defense and her quick hands picked quite a few pockets to add another element to an impressive outing.
Darby Chhabria (2025 | Philly Belles 16U)
Chhabria, who plays across the river for Camden Catholic, just seemed to have a knack for being around the ball. She showed a quick first step on offense, able to attack the rim and had a keen eye to find open teammates for kick-out passes. The 5-foot-10 wing hit the glass, stayed in front of her player on defense and was quick to get on the floor fighting for a loose ball or forcing a tie-up call.
Jill Jekot (2024 | Comets 17U GUAA)
Jekot looked like Jekot, going to the rim with some force and converting most of the time whether it was off the dribble or off a pass from a teammate. The Cumberland Valley standout also brought that physical play to rebounding, finishing off some defensive stops while creating a couple extra chances on the offensive end.
Taylor Koenig, Lady Runnin Rebels 17U
Vianna Kanyamiheto-Watson (2025 | Chester County Storm 17U)
Buried on an uberly talented Westtown squad during the season, Kanyamiheto-Watson got the chance to showcase her talents on Saturday with the storm. She constantly attacked the basket and was fearless once she got there, leading to multiple free throw opportunities. She showed off her athleticism with an up and under that just nearly missed. The 5-7 guard looked comfortable pulling up from three as well as the midrange as well.
Taylor Koenig (2024 | Lady Runnin Rebels 17U)
Koenig buried a couple of threes early against NJ Rise and the sharpshooter found quite a few different ways to continue to put the ball through the hoop after that. The threat of her jumper allowed her to drive to the hoop, where she finished and drew contact. She pulled up in the midrange and the 5-9 wing from Governor Mifflin even showed off a post move or two as well.
Megan Ngo (2026 | Comets 15U-Perretta)
The 5-foot-3 Upper Dublin guard didn’t score a lot but she made her impact felt as a floor general, putting her teammates in the right position and feeding them with on the money passes. She was really good in transition, baiting the defense before sending a bounce for an easy layup. Ngo doesn’t have a lot of height but she’s unafraid to bully her way to the hoop for a tough bucket and used a nasty crossover for a blow by on Saturday.
Megan Rullo (2026 | Comets 15U-Perretta)
Rullo is a good cutter without the basketball and equally adept at finding her teammates when they free themselves. The 5-9 wing, who is on the younger side for her grade, showed great court vision and flashed her shooting ability with a trio of triples. After getting her feet wet in the Catholic League for Cardinal O’Hara this season, it will be exciting to see how she fares against her own age group this summer.
Molly Rullo (2025 | Comets 16U GUAA)
The sophomore seems like she could be put in any lineup and find a way to contribute within a couple possessions. From making threes to scoring off the bounce, firing passes full court or within a set and staying aggressive on defense, Rullo was all over in her teams’ two games on Saturday. She was also quick to jump in and show a couple new teammates something they had missed during stoppages in play to keep everyone on the same page.
Megan Ngo, Comets 17U-Perretta
Kasey Slade (2024 | Anne Arundel Elite 17U)
Slade, a 5-11 forward from Chesapeake High (Md.), was tremendously efficient inside for Anne Arundel Elite, finishing the majority of her paint touches. She stayed composed inside, either going up for a shot or making a good pass out. She has a great motor as well, constantly fighting for rebounds and getting rewarded with an easy look or two for running the floor with her team.
Caleigh Sperling (2024 | Lady Runnin Rebels 17U)
The Rebels had a balanced scoring attack in a win over the Rise and Sperling had a few of those buckets, but what stood out was her rebounding. The 5-10 wing from North Penn was tenacious on the glass. She’s a big time scorer during the high school season and even playing more without the ball in her hands she found ways to score, whether it was cutting to the basket, offensive putbacks or taking open jumpers when she had them.
Kristina Turner (2024| Philly Bellies 17U)
Turner, who plays her high school hoops in N.J. at Burlington Twp., was really impressive driving to the hoop. She made tough shots with her left and right hands, finishing through contact multiple times. Turner also showed off her 3-point range. She did a little playmaking for her team as well, demonstrating a tight handle and some passing ability.
