Saba Beroshvili (2023 | Lincoln, N.Y.)
Beroshvili was a smoother operator against UA. With and without the ball, the defense couldn’t stay in front of him. He started off with a couple threes off-the-catch and a one-dribble pullup. UA ran him off the line in the second half, but it didn’t matter. Beroshvili just got into the lane. There, the senior guard either scored or got sent to the free throw line, where he was a perfect 9-of-9. Beroshvili totalled 21 points

Jalil Bethea (2024 | Archbishop Wood)
Bethea’s two-way impact was the driving force behind the Vikings’ decisive win. He got on the scoreboard early with a transition dunk, then his first of five threes, and never looked back. He did a good job not settling for or forcing jumpers, electing to create for others and attack other parts of the floor. On the other end, altered shots and he worked the glass to jumpstart their transition offense. Bethea put up a total of 27 pts, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocks.

Carryn Easley (2025 | Neumann-Goretti)
As soon as the game versus Lincoln, N.Y. tipped off, Easley locked in. She had back-to-back steals-turned-layups on the first two possessions, the second of which was an and-one. She repeated this cycle several times before the opposing team settled in: then she put the rest of her game on display. Easley showed real skill as a pick-and-roll operator. She played with pace coming off the screen and threw well-timed passes to the roller. Her quick decision-making made it hard for the young Railsplitters to get any stops. Easley finished the contest with 21 points, 9 assists and 6 steals.

Hannah Hidalgo (2023 | Paul VI, N.J.)
In a game where she dropped 39 points, Hidalgo impacted the game most impressively on defense. She averaged almost three steals per quarter (11 total). Anything she didn’t steal cleanly was a deflection. Whether guarding on-ball or blitzing ball-handlers from the weak-side, Hidalgo was relentless on that end, turning defense into instant offense. Her halfcourt attack was almost as potent. The Notre Dame signee drove and finished through contact. And when the defense took away her lanes, she countered by either pulling up in the mid-range or dishing to a teammate around the basket. Her two-way performance earned her MVP honors and was the best of the six-game slate.

Nate Hoter (2023 | Quality Academy Prep, N.J.)
The 6-2 combo guard came off the bench and was quiet in the first half against Cristo Rey. He was more passive, throwing dimes to his teammates. Down by five going into the third quarter, Hoter came alive. He showed a good feel for the game, setting up defenders to either blow by them or draw the contact. The fourth quarter was even bigger for him as he used a variety of moves to get to his spots and he hit two clutch free throws. Hoter scored eight of his 12 points in the final quarter, leading QAP to the win and earn MVP.

Kamaal Johnson (2023 | Universal Audenried)
Johnson ran the show for UA and it made all the difference. With his crisp handle, the 5-11 guard broke down Lincoln’s defense, forcing rotations and splitting double-teams. Johnson used his full scoring arsenal. He finished through contact and got to his spots in the mid-range behind the arc. Tied up at 48 going into the fourth quarter, Coach Marvin Stinson looked to Johnson to secure the victory. The senior guard responded by scoring eight of his 21 points, drawing fouls and getting his third steal as UA pulled out the win, 64-61.

Morgan Marshall (2024 | University, N.J.)
The Phoenix guard didn’t back down against Paul VI’s Hidalgo and Baynes. Instead, Marshall attacked them head-on on both ends. Her activity on defense slowed down PVI’s halfcourt offense. Marshall  grabbed rebounds, deflected passes and altered a few of their shots. She found her own offense in the mid-range and on drives to the hoop on her way to 9 points.

Priyanka Ponnam (2025 | George School)
The Cougars were unable to come away with the win against Audenried, but Ponnam displayed some interesting skills as a prospect. The combo forward played outside-in. She wasn’t afraid catch-and-fire from three. And when attacking closeouts or pushing the ball on fastbreaks, she comfortably got to her floater. In the second half, GS as a team found more avenues for success with Ponnam inside. She used her size and coordination to contest shots and rebound. Able to see over the defense, she helped move the ball and get it into the low post. Ponnam totalled 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Amaya Scott (2025 | Neumann-Goretti)
Easley’s backcourt mate, Scott made her mark in the contest versus Lincoln, N.Y. too. Her creativity off-the-bounce kept defenders off-balance as she drove to the basket and threw dimes to cutters. Scott showed a quick release on her jumper, cashing in one from deep. She stole an in-bounds pass and turned it into a layup as well, on her way to 13 points and four assists.

Shayla Smith (2025 | Universal Audenried)
Smith’s 26 points were the icing on top of her complete floor game against George School. Between her 11 rebounds (9 defensive) and five steals, the sophomore guard created the transition opportunities for her team to score before the Cougars defense could get set. Her winning plays gave them a double-digit lead early and sustained them throughout. In the fourth quarter, George School surged back into the game by capitalizing on their height advantage. But Smith wouldn’t allow her team to fold. She gave UA a spark with 10 points in the quarter, to go along with 6 rebounds (2 on offense), as they re-extended their lead.

Nasseem Wright (2024 | Math, Civics & Sciences)
In what a physical game from start to finish, Wright played through it on his way to a team high 21 points. He got a couple and-ones in the first half while slashing to the basket. Then he exploded in the second. The 6-6 wing attacked from the short-corner and the elbow. Wood tried to wall him off at the rim, but Wright countered with his post footwork to get his shots off. Additionally, he used craft and extension finishes to score around their out-stretched arms.

Josh Wyche (2023 | Cristo Rey)
The senior forward was aggressive coming out the gate. Wyche had a whopping 17 free-throw attempts in the first half, while battling lower leg soreness. He mixed it up inside, attacking with his face up game and with his back to the basket. His assertiveness put QAP’s post players in immediate foul trouble. Defensively the Lafayette commit walled up at the rim and grabbed double-digit rebounds. He finished with 17 points in a tough loss.
