PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - On Saturday, Post & Pivot concluded their fall league at Cristo Rey High School with their final two rounds of the playoffs and an all-star showcase game. Friends’ Central won it all 47-44 against Cristo Rey. Here are a few standouts from the event:

Reid Belcher (2024 | Friends’ Central)
Simply put: Belcher is a hooper. He’s still coming along as a scorer, but he displayed a nice feel for the game on cuts and simple drives to the basket. He totaled 8 points versus Dobbins and 11 points versus Cristo Rey. The defensive end is where he really made his mark. He had 2 steals in the semis. Friends Central was down at one point in the championship, then Belcher began pressuring the ball to stagnate CR’s offense. The 6’0 guard also took on CR’s best player in the post for stretches, using leverage to deny him from touches in the paint. Belcher more than earned the MVP honors.

Devin Booker (2025 | Cristo Rey)

Booker put his athletic ability and physical tools on center stage in both of CR’s games on Saturday. In the semifinal game alone, he had 4 dunks, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. That doesn’t even count his deflections. The 6’5 wing got all of his paint touches on cuts and putbacks. His offensive play without the ball kept the floor spaced while still allowing him to be a vertical threat. And when drivers kicked it out to him, he cashed in from three — three versus Fels and one versus Friends’ Central. Booker scored a total of 22 points and 15 points in the two games, respectively.

Kareem Diaz (2023 | Dobbins)
Diaz knows what he does well and sticks to it. He got to the cup with simple dribble combinations and long strides, then topped it off with extension finishes. Around 6’4, the wing-scorer put up 15 points in a close semifinal loss, then turned around for 16 in the All-Star Showcase game. The all-star game’s Elam Ending began with five minutes left in the second half — first team to 79 would win. With his team at 71, Diaz quickly scored their first six — lay up, steal for a lay up, then another lay up. One of his teammates capped it off at 79 shortly after that.

Amari Dow (2024 | Cristo Rey)
Dow was impressive as a shot-creator and shot-maker for the Blue Pride. At 6’3, he showed nice footwork in the mid-range, hitting a few fadeaways. The junior guard also drilled multiple threes in both games and assisted on several buckets made by others. He came out blasting with 3 triples in the first half against Fels. His energy didn’t drop off when he wasn’t scoring either. He pressured the ball and locked in when he was in help. Dow totaled 18 points in the semis, then 12 points in the championship game.

Muhsin Muhammad (2024 | Friends Central)
The Phoenix won their semifinal and championship games with their defense and Muhammad was a crucial part of that. He was their all-around best perimeter defender with a number of steals and deflections. “Moose” was their go-to on offense against Dobbins (15 points). He got everything he wanted from the high post, knocking down mid-range jumpers and slashing to the basket for lay ups. His determination to attack the paint opened the floor for his teammates.

Fazl Oshodi (2024 | Friends Central)

Oshodi struggled to find the bottom of the net in his first three halves of action, but that didn’t stop him from making an impact. He played solid defense, made connective passes, cut and moved off-ball. Then he had a clutch second half against Cristo Rey. Oshodi scored 7 of his 9 points and went 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to get FCS the win.

Stanley Parker (2023 | Samuel Fels)
Parker wasn’t able to help his team get to the championship game and he seemed to take it out on the rim in the all-star showcase. Whether it came off of run-outs on fastbreaks, putbacks, or cuts, Parker threw down dunk after dunk. He was able to jump off of one or two feet on his attempts. The 6’4 forward grabbed several boards as well on his way to a game-high 20 points and the Showcase MVP.

Josh Wyche (2023 | Cristo Rey)
Wyche took a backseat offensively versus Fels with just six points. Instead, he anchored them defensively. There wasn’t a player in the gym he couldn’t guard. So he switched and/or dropped as the low man in ball screens and blocked four shots. Wyche blocked another three against Friends Central, but he also took over for stretches offensively, scoring 15 points. He took advantage of his match up by attacking off the dribble from the perimeter and using his quickness and strength in the post. Lafayette College is getting a versatile player.
