An octet of Delaware County boys basketball programs will be making regular trips to Aston this spring for the Sun Valley Spring League, which started tonight and runs through the end of the month.

Each team will play eight games, though some will play on eight separate nights and others in four appearances of doubleheaders; each night features seven of the eight programs taking part.

Included in the group are Marple Newtown, which is fresh off a PIAA Class 5A quarterfinals appearance, the deepest run in program history, plus fellow state tournament participants Garnet Valley and Penn Wood, who both qualified in the 6A bracket and each advanced to the second round.

The eight participating teams: Academy Park, Avon Grove, Chichester, Garnet Valley, Marple Newtown, Penn Wood, Sun Valley, West Chester Rustin
