The 2021 edition of Philly Live wrapped up its two weekends of games in front of hundreds of Division I college coaches this past Sunday, with eight final sets of action at St. Joe’s Prep.

Here’s who played well in front of the CoBL staff during Sunday’s action:

Sankofa's Zaki Alston (R, earlier this month) and Neumann-Goretti's Masud Stewart (L) were both standouts on Sunday at St. Joe's Prep. (Photo: Josh Verlin/CoBL

Zaki Alston (2023 | Sankofa Freedom, Pa.)
Alston had himself a game in a 59-54 win over Cardinal O’Hara on Sunday morning, knocking down shot after shot en route to a game-high 25 points. The 6-2 rising junior guard hit four 3-pointers, including three straight at one point, and got fouled from behind the arc on two other occasions, making five of those six foul shots (7-9 FT overall). More than just a standstill shooter, Alston showed the ability to hit pull-up jumpers on the move, including a tough mid-range bucket plus an old-fashioned 3-point play, and also chipped in five rebounds and a steal. He’ll be playing this summer with Athletes Plus.

Rahmir Barno (2023 | Imhotep Charter, Pa.)
In their Philly Live finale against Don Bosco Prep, Barno’s fingerprints were all over the success of the Panthers’ offense in their 61-40 win. Barno’s ability to get in the lane and create for his teammates is a primary attraction for many coaches that have him on their radars and he continued to display that with several assists where he dove and kicked out to the corner or found a big in the dunker’s spot for a dump off pass. What stood out even more though was the 16 points of his own that helped the Panthers pull away. His game off the bounce became a headache for Ironmen defenders, as he got to the rim with ease and mixed a few pullup jumpers from midrange and from beyond the arc. With a good feel for the game and the ability to score from all three levels, Barno’s stock should continue to rise in July, as he gears up for the EYBL and a run at Peach Jam with Team FInal.

Justin Edwards (2023 | Imhotep Charter, Pa.)
Edwards wrapped up a solid June live period with a 17-point performance against Don Bosco and his ability as a two way threat continued to be on display. Early on, he used his length to his advantage on the defensive end by playing the passing lanes for steals that became run-out dunks. Offensively, his touch from downtown helped kickstart the Panthers’ offense early on in the first half as well as his ability to attack the closeout and go by defenders, finishing at the rim. Along with Barno and several other prospects, the Panthers are yet again in position to be one of the best teams in not only the state, but the East coast.

Paul King (2023 | Father Judge, Pa.)
Playing under first year head coach Chris Roantree, King had himself a nice game on Sunday. The guard scored a game-high 29 points in Judge’s 58-53 loss to Paterson Eastside (N.J.), with 17 of those points coming in the first half. Over the course of the game, King knocked down four 3s, also hitting some midrange shots and doing a great job getting to the cup.

O’Shamiar Majette (2022 | Paterson Eastside, N.J.)
The first team All-Liberty Division small forward had an impressive outing on Sunday, showing off his athleticism numerous times, most notably with a putback dunk. Majette also displayed his jumper by knocking a couple down inside the arc, as well as his ability to pass, dropping a couple on the money dimes. Up by three with 24 seconds left against Father Judge, Majette knocked down two free throws to make it a five point game and did the same thing in the same situation moments later, icing the 58-53 victory for his squad and finishing with 18 points.

Justin Moore (2022 | Archbishop Wood, Pa.)
Entering his first season at Wood after transferring from McDevitt, Moore had a great showing on Sunday against Salesianum (Del.) with many schools in attendance. Moore showed his ability to bury shots from deep, hitting multiple threes and also did a great job getting to the basket. The 6-3 guard showed his activity on the defensive side of the ball, registering at least one steal and one block. Moore’s weekend at Philly Live II was capped off with an offer from Jacksonville thanks to his stellar play.

Sebastian Robinson (2023 | Elizabeth, N.J.)
The rising junior combo guard from Elizabeth impressed with 19 points in a dominant 65-28 win over La Academia. Standing at 6-2 with good length,he can guard multiple spots and his frame suggests he still has room to grow. He has a smooth handle that allows him to take a defender off the dribble and to the rim where can finish well with either hand. His ability to shoot the ball should also be noted, as he knows when to utilize a pull up or step back from inside the arc or well beyond it. He currently holds an offer from Manhattan and will be intriguing to watch on the EYBL this summer with the PSA Cardinals.

Izaiah Pasha (2023 | Cardinal O’Hara, Pa.)
A newcomer to this area, having spent his first two years in high school out near Harrisburg at Central Dauphin East, Pasha’s had an impressive few weekends with O’Hara and looks like he’ll be an impact player right away in the Catholic League. A 6-5 wing guard, Pasha scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had four blocks — plus an assist and a steal — in a losing effort against Sankofa Freedom. Pasha hit a couple 3-pointers, finished around the rim, crashed the glass for three offensive boards, showed good second effort and was active defensively.

Masud Stewart (2022 | Neumann-Goretti, Pa.)
The 6-1 rising senior guard is one of the key cogs in the wheel for the Saints, who are replacing most of their offensive production from last year. Against Paterson-Eastside, Stewart’s ability to get downhill produced 18 points in their 52-33 win. Thanks to the rather muscular frame he has, he imposed his will at the rim by finishing through contact on several occasions and got to the line for extra points. Defensively, he provided toughness and grit for the Saints in situations where they went with a smaller lineup and he was one of the bigger guards on the floor by battling on the glass for several rebounds. Already with offers from Holy Cross, Rider, and Saint Peter’s, he is also gaining interest from several other high academic schools such as Dartmouth, Delaware, Lehigh and Wagner.

Michael Walz (2022 | Conestoga, Pa.)
In the second to last set of Philly Live II, Walz put on a show in his squad’s 49-42 loss to St. Joe’s Prep. The 6-10, 235-pound center put up a double-double, scoring a game-high 24 points and grabbing 13 boards, also adding two blocks. Walz showed his ability to shoot with range, knocking down two treys, and dominated inside the paint. The rising senior also did a good job getting to the line where he made five of his seven attempts. Following his big performance, Walz picked up an offer from Penn State. Walz has been in communication with tons of schools and currently has six D-I offers.
