Strengths: Very good on-ball defender who will lock his man down, and isn't afraid to go up and challenge a shot on the break with excellent leaping ability and timing. Becoming a better spot-up shooter and scorer, uses his size and handle to get into the lane and finds his way to the foul line at a good clip. Carries himself well on the court, keeps his team's energy up and does a good job of talking on both ends of the floor. Can play both guard spots and moves well without the ball, is a plus passer who will give up a tough shot for an easier one.
Weaknesses: Could use continued work on his handle and ability to shoot off the bounce, as he's still learning to be a primary ball-handler, though he's made strides in this area.
Overall: An athletic combo guard with an excellent work ethic and demeanor, Bell has become one of the area's more underrated seniors, with the size and athleticism to earn some Division II scholarships and maybe even a D-I look or two with a spectacular senior season, especially if he can show he can be a point guard at the next level and create his own shot. --Last updated: Dec. 9, 2015
