Strengths: Super aggressive both offensively and defensively. He's sneaky athletic, with playmaking skills that coincide well with his ability to play both guard positions. Capable of taking over ball-handling duties and running the offense. He attacks the basket hard and isn't shy about letting it fly from the 3-point line. Even if he's having an off day, he never lets up when it comes to pressuring the defense with his ability to break down his defender in the half court or push the ball in transition. He possesses a high-arcing floater with a soft touch. He can also take the ball all the way to the basket and initiate contact consistently. Makes an impact when crashing the boards despite his smaller body frame. Solid perimeter defender who's capable of shuffling his feet quickly and staying in front of his man. He movement and activity on the defensive end forces turnovers. Does a pretty good job of leaking out in transition for easy buckets. Makes the hustle plays.
Weaknesses: Sometimes gets caught playing defense with his hands, resulting in foul calls on the perimeter. Loses his man when defending the pick-and-rolls. Still has to work on his ability to finish against/over length. Streaky shooter. Can be over aggressive on offense when looking to score, and forgets to move the ball for a better scoring opportunity.
Overall: Kachelries is a fiery competitor who gives great effort every minute he’s in the game. He rarely takes plays off on defense and looks to assert himself as scoring threat on the offense. He has pretty good handle and can get to his spots easily because of his quickness and speed. He’s also shown that he take over the point guard duties for his team and get others involved. Division II and low/mid-major Division I schools have taken notice of his game.
