Scouting Report

Overall: Somewhere between a big wing and a slightly undersized stretch-'4' is Weiss, who brings a lot of different things to the table. On the offensive end, he's got a smooth stroke from 3-point range, but can put the ball on the floor once or twice to get into the mid-range, where he's got good feel on a floater or pull-up jumper. Defensively, he's best off in the post, as he's not the swiftest of foot; he does a good job of staying grounded against opposing bigs to stay out of foul trouble, and gets his hands on most rebounds in his area. A terrific student, Weiss is being recruited by high-academic Division III schools, where he could play the pick-and-pop forward role very well; he might be good enough to play D-II but academics will play a strong role in his decision.
