Strengths: Attacking guard is always playing downhill, with a quick first step and a high-end top speed. Has a nose for the bucket and is a crafty finisher around the hoop, doing a good job of getting his shot off through contact and finds himself at the foul line often. Becoming a better 3-point shooter as well, and learning how to use a floater and mid-range pull-up to become a very dangerous scoring guard. Pesky defender likes to get up into his man and disrupt passing lanes.
Weaknesses: Needs to improve on his shooting, both in terms of shot selection and becoming a better knockdown shooter; teams right now play him to drive, and it makes it tougher for him to get to the rim. Needs to continue to show he can be a distributor and look for open teammates when he attacks.
Overall: A little undersized for a shooting guard, Foster has clearly improved his game year after year to become one of the more fun-to-watch guards around. Will be a great fit in college in a D-II league like the PSAC, where he can utilize his athleticism and be a terrific scoring option.
