Strengths: Very skilled face-up game, with the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop from the foul line extended. Plays tough through contact, not afraid to fight for second and third chances until he gets a bucket or gets to the line. Plays with a high motor but still plays smart, doesn’t make too many mistakes or get out of control. Versatile defender who doesn't mind mixing it up with players bigger than he is, and can keep slower wings ahead of him too.
Weaknesses: His game is very developed, but his body is still on the small side for a Division I power forward, and he doesn’t yet have the ball skills or outside shot to make it as a small forward. Still needs to work on adding muscle to his frame. Needs to improve his long-range shooting to stretch defenses and make his drives easier.
Overall: One of the hardest-working players in the area, Alikakos' is a no-doubt Division I prospect due to his motor, his toughness, his basketball IQ and of course his stellar production, averaging a double-double for two years in a row in at Episcopal. But he appears to be done growing, and his bread-and-butter game is still within 10 feet of the hoop, which means his talents will best be suited to the low-to-mid-major range as a mobile '4' man.
