This weekend, a pair of high-profile high school events will bring together some of the best teams in Philadelphia as well as talented squads from several surrounding states.

Imhotep Charter and Bonner-Prendergast play host to “The Warm-Up,” which is a 17-game affair that lasts Friday night and all day Saturday. Starting Saturday morning at Girard College HS and running the rest of the weekend there is the Black Cager classic.

Here’s a look at some of the out-of-area programs who will be participating in the events, followed by an event schedule for each:

Our Savior Lutheran (N.Y.)
One of the top team’s in New York’s CHSAA, the largest Catholic high school league in the country, Lutheran is led by the one-two punch of Jared Rhoden and Posh Alexander. Rhoden, a 2018 combo forward, broke out on the EYBL circuit this summer with NY Lightning and is down to a final five of Penn State, Saint Louis, Santa Clara, Seton Hall, and Wichita State, while Alexander is considered one of the top point guards in the 2020 class. The Falcons also feature a number of intriguing young big men.

Baltimore Poly (Md.)
Poly, which most recently produced current Temple freshman DeVondre “Dre” Perry, has no shortage of Division I guys waiting in the pipeline. Stepping up this year to fill Perry’s go-to role should be senior guard/wing Demetrius Mims, a versatile perimeter piece who committed to Long Beach State last month. However, Poly’s best long-term prospect is likely sophomore forward Justin Lewis, a transfer from Calvert Hall (Md.) considered a top-50 recruit in his class.

The Patrick School (N.J.)
One of the nation’s top programs, having produced the likes of Kyrie Irving and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, The Patrick School once again boasts a squad ripe to compete for a New Jersey Tournament of Champions title. After sending six players to the Division I ranks last year, the Celtics have retooled behind the backcourt of senior Markquis Nowell (Bishop Loughlin transfer) and junior Atiba Taylor (Hackensack transfer), who join returning senior big man Valdir Manuel, an athletic stretch-5. Other potential high-major recruits include Georgian import Giorgi Bezhanishvili (2018), returning junior guard Al-Amir Dawes, and sophomore wing C.J. Wilcher.

St. Benedict’s (N.J.)
Another of North Jersey’s national powers, this year’s Gray Bees are led by 6-9 wing Precious Achiuwa, a potential McDonald’s All-American in the 2019 class; Achiuwa boasts an NBA-ready frame and athleticism, and is a consistent jumper away from being a potential one-and-done prospect. Benedict’s also features sharp-shooting juniors Jake Betlow and Lester Quinones, intriguing French forward Andre Toure, and high-major 2020 big man Isah Mohammed.

St. Frances (Md.)
Continuing a theme of high-level young talent, Baltimore prep power St. Frances comes to town with three potential high-major prospects in its sophomore class. Adrian “Ace” Baldwin, who holds offers from Miami, UConn, and Kansas State, and Jordan Toles form an exciting young backcourt, while wing Anthony Thomas could be a blue-blood type of recruit with work on his jump shot over the next couple years.

John Carroll (Md.)
Perhaps the top prospect descending on Philly for the weekend, Kentucky point guard commit Immanuel Quickley will be running the show for John Carroll. A super-heady pick-and-roll player and one of the elite floor generals in his class, Quickley could be John Calipari’s latest one-and-done guard. Flanking Quickley on the wing is Rutgers commit Montez Mathis.

Mater Dei (N.J.)
Boasting one of the state’s elite backcourts, Mater Dei looks to defend its Shore Conference title from last season. Joining Loyola (Md.) commit Kenny Jones is junior Alexander Rice, the son of Monmouth head coach King Rice who transfers in after the closing of legendary St. Anthony. Both Jones and Rice can play on or off the ball, and should form a killer duo before Rice is ready to take the reins next year.

Immaculate Conception (N.J.)
With a mix of returning stars and some new complimentary pieces, Immaculate could be a sleeper contender for the state Tournament of Champions title. Recent Syracuse commit Jalen Carey is the go-to scorer, and is joined by high-major 2019 recruit Justin Winston, a bruising wing with a budding skillset. What will really determine how far this team can go is the development of its sophomore class, as big man Elijah Hutchins-Everett, point guard Raejon Figures, and wing Zion Bethea all have a chance to earn high-major looks down the line.
