The Drexel Dragons entered the game looking for their first multi-game win streak in over a year. Facing off against the Delaware Blue Hens, who were also looking to get out of the cellar in the CAA, the Dragons dominated in the second half, and finished with a 74-64 victory.

At First…

The game was back-and-forth for the first 20 minutes, with neither team leading by more than six points at any time. Drexel struggled in the final minutes of the half, and trailed by two, 29-27, as the teams headed to the locker rooms.

Turning Point…

Trailing by one with just over 11 minutes to play in the second half, Drexel went on a 12-0 run to give them a 52-41 lead which ended with a Rashann London 3-pointer. Delaware suffered from a scoring drought that lasted four minutes, and the Blue Hens couldn’t get within eight points for the remainder of the game.

Shining Stars…

Drexel forward Rodney Williams finished with 15 points and six rebounds for the Dragons. It’s his fifth consecutive double-digit game.

Guard Terrell Allen, who averaged 19 points in the previous two games for the Dragons, scored a team-high 19 tonight. He has committed just one turnover over the course of the last three games.

Noteworthy Numbers…

6: The number of double-doubles this season for Dragons forward Kazembe Abif. He finished the game with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
