DAYTON, Ohio--The Dayton Flyers were able to exact revenge on La Salle Saturday afternoon, having lost to the Explorers earlier this month, winning by a final score of 59-44 to increase La Salle’s losing streak to six games.

At First…
La Salle showed shades of their prior upset in the first half by ripping off a quick 12-5 lead in the early going but were promptly answered. Dayton would gain the lead, 20-19, with under six minutes to play in the half, after a Kyle Davis jumper.

Turning Point…
The Flyers closed the first half on a 14-4 outburst that suddenly tilted the game in their favor, from a three-point deficit to a seven-point lead. They never relinquished that lead for the rest of the afternoon, although the Explorers drew close on multiple occasions in the second frame.

Dayton would close the game on a 13-2 run that spanned the last eight minutes of the game, holding La Salle to just one made shot during that closing stretch.

Shining Stars…
La Salle’s Jordan Price continues to carry his team, leading the way with 17 points, seven boards, and five assists against UD. The guard dropped four of his ten three-point attempts.

As for the Flyers, Kendall Pollard had a solid afternoon, leading all scorers with 18 points. His eight rebounds also keyed a helpful advantage for Dayton on the glass.

Noteworthy Numbers…
40: Dayton grabbed a total of 40 rebounds as opposed to La Salle’s 23, showing the Flyers’ dominance in the paint. Dayton also outscored the Explorers in the pain by a margin of 30-12.
