LEHIGH, Pa.--The Lehigh Mountain Hawks (3-10, 1-1) snapped a two-game losing streak as they knocked off the Boston University Terriers (7-8, 0-2) to gain their first Patriot League victory, by a final score of 81-73.

At First…
Lehigh had a phenomenal start to their second conference game, jumping out to a 16-5 lead in the first seven minutes of play. Boston U, however, was slowly able to climb all the way back to within two, to go into the half down just 38-36.

Turning Point…
Lehigh built up another sizable lead, 53-45, mid-way through the second half, before the Terriers fought back to tie it at 57 with seven minutes to play. It stayed close from there, until the final two minutes when Lehigh was able to knock down key shots and pull out the victory.

Shining Stars…
The defending Patriot League player of the year, Tim Kempton, led all scorers with 22 points, while capping off a double-double with 11 rebounds to boot. Lehigh’s Kyle Leufroy also joined Kempton in the twenties with 20 points on the nose.

Leading the way for Boston U was Nathan Dieudonne with 17 points. He added seven rebounds in the losing effort.

Noteworthy Numbers…
While Lehigh had a nice 42-33 advantage on the glass, the key in their victory was their ability to knock down threes and free throws. The Mountain Hawks only missed one free throw, while hitting 58-percent of their shots from beyond the three-point arc.

Up Next…
Lehigh (3-10, 1-1) @ Loyola (Jan. 6, 7:30 p.m.)
Boston U (7-8, 0-2) vs. Navy (Jan. 6, 7:00 p.m.)
