Isaiah Miles had a career day last week in Brooklyn, and because of it, he was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Monday.

The St. Joseph’s senior had a career-best 36 points and added 15 rebounds and four blocks in the Hawk’s 79-62 triumph over Virginia Tech last week at the Barclays Center. Miles, a 6-foot-7 forward, went 11-for-18 from the floor, hit a trio of 3-pointers and knocked down 11 of his 12 free throw attempts.

The game and the honor were the latest feats for Miles, who has had a stellar start to the 2015-16 campaign. He is the leading scorer for St. Joe’s, which is 9-2 heading into a Tuesday night affair with Maryland-Eastern Shore.

He is averaging 17.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 91.5 percent from the foul line. Miles’ averages are up from 10.7 and 5.1 rpg a season ago and he has recorded double-doubles in four of the Hawks’ 11 contests.
