Playing for the first time this season at home, Temple downed Delaware, 69-50, Sunday evening at the Liacouras Center. Obi Enechionyia led the Owls with 16 points.

At first….
Neither side got off to a particularly hot start offensively, and the game was close through much of the first half. Delaware sat in a zone for most of the first half, challenging the Owls to make 3-pointers. Temple was just 4-for-16 in the first half from beyond the arc, but two of those triples came in the last two minutes and were part of a 14-2 run to close the half.

Turning point…
Delaware forward Chivarsky Corbett went down with an apparent injury to his right knee with about three minutes left in the first half. The sophomore was the second-leading scorer for the Hens entering the game and did not return.

Shining stars…
Enechionyia had a team-best 16 points, including a career-best four 3-pointers. Two of those triples came on back-to-back possessions around the 10-minute mark in the second half, which really put the game away for the Owls. Jaylen Bond was also in double figures for the Owls, scoring 11.

Cazmon Hayes led the Blue Hens with 17 points, going 7-for-16 from the field, including a 3-for-9 mark from deep.

Noteworthy numbers…
Temple ended the first half on a 14-2 run after the game was tied at 23 with five minutes remaining. ...Delaware outrebounded Temple, 43-42, and Marvin King-Davis led all players with 10 boards.

Up next…
Temple (2-3) vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (12/2, 7 p.m.)
Delaware (2-2) vs. Bradley (12/1, 7 p.m.)
