City of Basketball Love

Nexxt Level Coliseum will be buzzing on Saturday with basketball from morning until night, as the CoBL/Nexxt Level Shootout returns for its second year.

Two dozen teams will take part in this year's one-day event, which begins with two games at 9 AM and continues all the way through a final set which will start around 8 PM. Each of the 12 New Jersey, 11 Pennsylvania and one Delaware teams will play two games in a three-hour span, with all games featuring a team from one state against an opponent from another.

A few teams with district, section, group and state title hopes in all three states are involved, including the defending District 1 AAAA champions (Abington), defending PIAA Class AA state champs (Conwell-Egan) and South Jersey's Group 2 (Camden) and Group 4 (Cherry Hill East) champions. Also involved is Downingtown West, featuring D-I commits Ryan Betley (Penn) and Josh Warren (Cornell), plus Pt. Pleasant Beach and star guard Jimmy Panzini, and more.

Nexxt Level Sports is located at 333 Preston Ave. in Voorhees, N.J. Admission will be $5 for all spectators.
