Temple finalized its 2015-16 scheduled Tuesday as the American Athletic Conference released the league slate for the upcoming season.

The Owls begin the 18-game conference schedule with a trip to Cincinnati on Dec. 29. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 at 3 p.m.

The first AAC opponent to visit the Liacouras Center will be Houston for a noon tilt on Jan. 2. The Owls will get three out of four conference games at home to start February as Tulsa (Feb. 4), Connecticut (Feb. 11) and South Florida (Feb. 14) all come to Philadelphia.

Temple’s final regular season home game will be against Memphis at 7 p.m. on March 3. The Owls will close out their conference schedule with a trip to Tulane on March 6. Tulane, along with SMU (which Temple hosts Jan. 23), are the two conference teams the Owls will play just once.

 “To open our conference season on the road against one of the top teams in The American is a challenge, but every game in this conference is one,” head coach Fran Dunphy said in a statement. “We are thankful to play in one of the top basketball conferences in the nation, and look forward to competing at the highest level each and every game.”

Dunphy’s squad will be challenged in the non-conference, as well. Temple starts its season against North Carolina in the Veteran’s Classic. The Owls will also participate in the Puerto Rico Tip Off tournament from Nov. 19-22, travel to face national runner-up Wisconsin on Dec. 5 and play host to Villanova on Feb. 17.
