Though the 2015-16 college basketball season is still six months away, Temple found out its conference opponent pairings on Wednesday.

The American Athletic Conference released the pairings for the 11-team league Wednesday afternoon.

The 11 teams play an 18-game schedule, meaning each school plays eight of its 10 opponents twice, while playing the other two just once.

Temple will play Tulane (away) and reigning conference champion SMU (home) once. The Owls will meet the other eight teams twice.

The AAC also set the dates for the 2015-16 conference tournament, which will be played March 10-13 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.

Temple, which finished tied for third in the conference in 2014-15 with a 13-5 record (26-11 overall), is coming off a huge turnaround season. The +17 in the win column from a dismal nine-win 2013-14 campaign was the largest turnaround in Division I hoops last season.

The Owls already have a loaded non-conference slate, featuring a season-opening game against North Carolina and a December matchup with Wisconsin.

Temple's complete 2015-16 schedule, with dates and times, will be announced at a later date.
