Incoming Princeton freshman Myles Stephens got some good news on Wednesday, when his doctors told him he had the green light to play in competitive games after he'd been working out and getting ready for the last few months.

"It's nice to know I'm officially cleared," he told CoBL by text.

A 6-foot-4 combo guard from St. Andrew's (Del.), Stephens hurt the knee last April while playing on the AAU circuit with WE R1. He had surgery in July, and missed his entire senior season.

Stephens is one of four players the Tigers are bringing along this fall. Point guards Devin Cannady, small forward Noah Bramlage and center Wyatt Walker complete the next group for Mitch Henderson.

They'll join a young, talented core led by junior guard Spencer Weisz, plus sophomores Amir Bell, Mike LeBlanc and Alec Brennan, that should challenge for the Ivy League championship in 2015-16.

Stephens and the rest of the freshman will arrive on campus officially in October, though he plans on spending plenty of time at the school this summer.

"The next thing for me is getting back in shape," he said.
