Strengths: Wide-bodied forward with solid hands. Great size, can alter shots on the defensive end with his length alone, and easily clears space for rebounds. Has big hands and secures most of what he gets them on.
Weaknesses: Needs to work on conditioning and his body; getting in shape will greatly improve his mobility inside and allow him to run the floor at a consistent level for longer stretches, plus improve his ability to go block-to-block against moving defenses.
Overall: Carpenter certainly has Division I size for a big man, but he's still got a ways to go in his development if he hopes to earn a scholarship at that level. Getting in shape is the most important thing for him, because without that he won't be able to get enough court time to really get the experience he needs.
